A walk to remember is a 2002 film based primarily on the novel of the same name by Nicholas Sparks. It stars Mandy Moore and Shane West as the in the lead roles. The flick is a romance focused around two kids in a tiny city. The plot involves a young highschool student named Landon who is threatened with expulsion after playing a practical joke on another student. The principle offers him another change, but only if he takes part in after college activities and makes an attempt to find new chums.

This punishment leads Landon to performing in the school play. Landon approaches Jamie, a classmate, to help him learn his lines. Jamie is detested, bookish, and has a protecting dad who is the priest of the local church. Landon realises that befriending Jamie may harm his name, and he asks her to help him privately. Jamie won't be his mate in secret, and ends the comradeship. Landon realises he has feelings for Jamie, and starts to pursue her after getting authorization from Jamie's dad. The pair fall head over heels in love, notwithstanding Jamie's earlier caution to Landon to not fall completely in love with her. Jamie admits she has cancer, and is dying.

Landon stays by her side, so helping her complete a listing of things she wants to do before she dies. Jamie exposes her number one move to make before she dies is get wed in the church where her ma grew up. Landon builds Jamie a telescope so she'll view a star he had named after her.Jamie is touched and tells Landon she likes him. Landon suggests, and the couple marry. Before she dies, Jamie tells Landon that he's her angel for staying with her during her illness. Landon goes on to medical college after her death, and realises that Jamie taught him religion and the way to actually love. He remains chums with Jamie's pa. The idea for a stroll to recollect came to Nicholas Sparks after his sister was assessed with cancer.

She met a person who wished to marry her, despite knowing she was sick and may die. The film and the book are devoted to her.A Walk to recollect received usually bad reviews from film critics, but was a respectable business success. The film is favored by the Christian community for its positive portrayal of a Christian teen.The film is rated PG for thematic elements and some sensual material.
